Findon Sheep Fair News!
July 2011:
New For this year’s Sheep Fair.
The Sheep Fair have linked up with the St John The Baptist school in Findon and are planning to provide up to 7 children with the opportunity to walk a sheep around the ring in the Young Handlers section of the Sheep Judging. The judge will be looking at how they handle the sheep and how they present themselves on the day. All children will be asked to wear white coats.
We are also planning to have more sheep at the Fair with three judging sections and this year the sheep area will be up at the Far end of Nepcote Green.
We are also planning for the first time to have 2 heavy horses which will be positioned near the pond area. We also plan to have them in the main arena where the history of these wonderful animals will be told.
We are always very pleased to have local business involved with the sheep fair and for the first time the Saddlery are planning to have a stall displaying rocking horses.
